Information

Trane unit At AC-Appliance Pros, we feel nothing is more important than the safety and comfort of your family. And nothing is more important to your comfort and safety than a properly maintained and highly efficient heating and cooling system.

An old or poorly maintained system can be a danger to you and your family. Carbon Monoxide gas and the risk of fire increase dramatically when your furnace is not professionally serviced on a regular basis. Our expert technicians inspect your furnace for safety concerns and correct them if possible. However, when it is time to replace your furnace and air conditioner, we offer unbeatable prices on complete systems that operate at up to 90% fuel efficiency. And through our maintenance plan we keep them operating at their peak safety and efficiency level.

If your gas furnace is 10 years old or more, about 30 to 40 cents of every dollar you spend for heating is going to waste. Today's heating and cooling systems are designed with one thing in mind, burning less fuel while getting more heat out of it, saving you money on your utility bills.

INDEPENDENT STUDIES INDICATE:

"A 23% refrigerant undercharge could result in a 52% efficiency loss."
- Texas A&M University

"90% of the AC units tested exhibited some sort of energy-wasting problem. 50% had an improper refrigerant charge. 40% failed to meet minimum air flow criterion."
- North Carolina Alternative Energy Corporation

If you're like most people, you've always wondered how a central air conditioning unit works. Well, it's really quite simple.

The air conditioning equipment consists of an outdoor unit with a compressor, fan, and a coil; and an indoor furnace or air handler and an indoor coil. Indoor air is blown across the indoor coil which removes heat and moisture from the air. The air also travels across a filter where dust and pollen are removed. This cooler, drier, filtered air is then transported through the ductwork into your home, making it cool and comfortable. The refrigerant in the indoor coil absorbs the heat from the indoor air that is blown across the coil by the air handler or furnace. The refrigerant transports the heat it has absorbed to the outdoor coil. Air blowing across the outdoor coil transfers the heat to the atmosphere and the process starts again.

Your complete air conditioning equipment should be properly matched and sized for optimum efficiency.
